Learning Room Socialization Bolsters Kupang's Education Scene

In May, the LearningRoom team conducted an online socialization session for dozens of elementary and middle school principals from Kupang. The session aimed to introduce the use of LearningRoom's English learning media, which will be implemented in the new academic year 2024/2025.

Implementation of LearningRoom Digital Media in Kupang

This socialization activity is part of the cooperation agreement between the Kupang City Education Office and PT 8 Elements regarding the use of LearningRoom as a digital English learning medium. It is set to be ready for use next month in approximately 150 elementary and middle schools in Kupang.

The Kupang City Education Office's interest in LearningRoom began with an initial presentation visit in early 2023, followed by a meeting with (former) Acting Mayor of Kupang, George Melkianus Hadjoh. This eventually led to the signing of an MoU around April last year.

"We welcome and are very enthusiastic about LearningRoom for the children of Kupang City, so they become more tech-savvy and proficient in English, enabling them to compete globally in the future," expressed George Hadjoh, sharing his optimism about the cooperation agreement with LearningRoom.

He also believes that the learning methods offered by LearningRoom are very effective and can be well applied to school-aged children in the region, often dubbed the City of Rocks.

Equipping English Proficiency with Interactive Methods

The head of the LearningRoom team from PT 8 Elements, Alma Grace, also conveyed that through this cooperation, school-aged children in Kupang will be equipped with English proficiency to face future global challenges.

"Early childhood education and equitable education in Indonesia have been a commitment of the LearningRoom team, especially through interactive and enjoyable English learning methods," said Alma, emphasizing the importance of English as a global communication tool.

In practice, the LearningRoom socialization stage to principals and teachers from Kupang went smoothly, with high enthusiasm from dozens of participants via Zoom, eager to start using LearningRoom's learning media.

"The next step is for our team to schedule material training for English teachers from participating schools to enhance the variety of teaching methods that can be used in the classroom," added Alma, when asked about the next steps.
