Shonen Sunday S, for March Edition, on Tuesday (01/25), stated that Yutaka Abe and Jirō Maruden are launching a new manga based on Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet (Meitantei Conan: Hiiro no Dangan), the 24th film in the Detective Conan franchise.
Meanwhile, the manga adaptation of the Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence (Meitantei Conan: Chinmoku no Quarter) anime movie will also be ended in next magazine issue.
Abe and Maruden previously drew manga adaptations of other movies in the franchise which included the Detective Conan: Fist of Blue Sapphire (Meitantei Conan: Konjou no Fist). The anime series ended last May when the Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence adaptation was revealed.
The movie of The Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet opened in Japan (April 2021) after a long delay due to COVID-19. It was also released simultaneously in 22 countries and territories outside of Japan.
After that, the plan for the Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween (Meitantei Conan: Halloween no Hanayome), the 25th anime film in the franchise, is schedule to air in Japan on April 15.
