Queen Elizabeth II is known for her unique fashion and appearance. So far, Queen Elizabeth has always been seen appearing with a matching coat and hat.

A not long time ago, a toddler from Kentucky named Jalayne Sutherland went viral for cosplaying as Queen Elizabeth II on Halloween. She was dressed by her mother and went around Trick-or-Treating with the family's corgis too.

The parents decided to send some of her photos to the Royal Family in Windsor Castle. Just a couple of days after Christmas, the Sutherlands had a response letter from the royal family.

Jalayne's mother, Katelyn Sutherland, says they sent a letter to the Queen just after Halloween when it was announced that the majesty was ill. She, and her daughter, expressed their good wishes for a speedy recovery and included a photo of the 'mini-queen'.

Before Halloween, Katelyn wanted to create a costume that could include the dogs. The queen naturally came to mind. And Rascal and Jack got to trick-or-treat as themselves, no costumes needed.

But Katelyn spent about two months replicating one of Queen Elizabeth’s outfits, a sky-blue coat, and hat with blue pearls, a broach, purse, and pearls. Taking two months to complete the outfit, she hand-sewed the hat herself, though she hadn’t stitched since ninth-grade home economics class. Her first attempt at the hat didn’t sit on Jalayne’s head right, so she made another. And she altered the queen’s coat, trimming off its tail.

According to Katelyn, she was inspired to dress her daughter like Queen Elizabeth because their family also has a corgi dog. Not only that, Katelyn's family is a fan of the British royal family.

"We wanted to do something where the dress and the dogs could be combined. We are fans of the royal family and amazed by the Queen," said Katelyn. "When we walk around on Halloween, we get a lot of compliments. But my favorite reaction is when people bow to him or wave and say, 'Your Majesty!'".

After waiting almost two months, they received a response letter from Windsor Castle thanking them for the letter and expressing the Queen’s delight in the story.

"Your Majesty thought it was very kind of you to write to her, and the Queen was delighted to see a photo of your daughter, Jalayne, in her stunning outfit," said in the response letter. "Her Royal Highness the Queen wishes you a Merry Christmas, and I'm giving you a little information about the royal family's pets, which Jalayne might like," the letter added.

The letter to the Sutherland family was sent on December 9, 2021. In addition, the letter also bears the official seal of Windsor Castle.
